Ed Will Not Be At Hagerstown for the Octoberfest Oct. 27-28, 2007

Because of unexpected engine problems and a death in the family of a crew member, Ed and his #2L Sprint car team will not be competing in the Octoberfest this weekend at Hagerstown.

Usually, Ed ends his season at Hagerstown but in making final preparations for this weekend, the crew started the car on Saturday.  To everyone's surprise, the engine they planned to use, did not run right and it was pulled out and taken back to Kistler's engine shop.

On Sunday evening, Eric Womeldorf received word that his sister Roberta (age 49) had died of a sudden heart attack.  The viewing was Wednesday and the funeral was Thursday and Lynch Racing expresses sincere sorrow and sympathy for the family's loss.

There has been no good news from Kistler regarding the engine and the "fix" will take longer than expected.
